PIMEX Videos
PIMEX (Picture Mix Exposure) is a so called video exposure monitoring technique that is used in different countries. It is widely used in the Netherlands for risk communication in the field of chemical exposure. There are more than 150 videos produced with PIMEX for all different industries/branches, mainly funded by the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment. Most of the movies are freely available.
There is a variability of situations where PIMEX has been used:
- Training workers to use PPE and control measurements in the right way;
- To enlarge the knowledge of chemical risks and to motivate workers of management to use safe working procedures or to take measures;
- Workplace analyses (hazard identification);
- Visualization of a good practice method
For small and medium enterprises (SME) the method is easily available: within a half day workplace analyses or/and simple videos can be made. PIMEX is used to visualize exposure to dangerous chemicals, nano-particles, physical load, noise and heat-stress.
